In conjunction with Cherry Tree
Consultancy Limited
BarMark is a
quality management standard owned and managed by the Bar Council
of England and Wales and designed to introduce the principles of
quality management to the operation of barristers' Chambers.
The standard
is based on the international standard for quality management,
ISO9001:2000 but has been adapted to specifically reflect the
needs and methods of operation of a barrister's Chambers.
Accreditation
is by means of external audit carried out by the Bar Council's
approved external auditors and is valid for three years and
subject to annual review during the validity of the certificate,
with a complete re-assessment being carried out at the end of
the three years.
Cherry Tree
Consultancy Ltd has extensive experience in assisting Chambers
to prepare for and implement the BarMark standard having over
the years helped in excess of 20% of Chambers who have
successfully achieved accreditation to BarMark.
They offer a
complete package of advice, documentation, training and guidance
enabling Chambers once they have achieved accreditation to
manage the ongoing process themselves but are also happy to
provide ongoing internal auditing or other support services.
